This is a race designed for personal challenge and the goal is to complete the course.  If you are a competitive participant, you will be registered in the first 5 Mile run heat waves as this will be where the most elite will start.  The winners of each 5 Mile run heat wave will be timed to determine overall placement. We do not issue refunds, regardless of circumstances.

Utilizing the natural terrain of the historic Crandon International Off-Road Raceway grounds, our 5 Mile run course will challenge the extreme elite athletes. Participants must be 16+ to do the 5 Mile run course.

Walk, Run, crawl, climb – you will experience it all.  If you reach an obstacle you are unable to overcome and is more of a challenge for you, feel free to take a detour but know to be eligible for individual participation awards you must complete all obstacles.

What to bring if you are a participant:

  • Clean, dry change of clothes (optional)
  • Running apparel, gloves and footwear – your shoes will get muddy.
  • Cash for food & beverage (there will be an ATM onsite)
  • Costumes (Optional)
  • Bag for Dirty Clothes
    Clean up stations will be provided

Housekeeping:

A couple reminders of what to leave at home:  No outside food or drink brought in to the venue grounds and please for health and safety reasons, you are not allowed to bring your pets.  No genuine weapons and/or firearms will be allowed.  Bag check, gear check will be available for racers to check their items during the race (like a coat check).  Feel free to leave your keys, t-shirt, bag, ect. and all those items you don’t want to carry with you during the race!

Where the funds go!

The proceeds raised will directly benefit Community Connect, LLC; Substance Abuse Scholarship Fund at Laona State Bank, the American Cancer Society Forest County Relay for Life, the Northwoods United Way, as well as local organizations that help make our event possible.  By participating in the BHLMC you have already made a difference by financially and physically making a stand by helping support these non-profit organizations and also supporting local Forest County businesses.

Parking:

A minimal fee will be charged at the gate.

Spectators:

Spectators will receive free admission to the event race. Spectators are who energizes and encourages participants.

Team:

Create a team of friends, family and co-workers or run solo, it’s up to you. There is a minimum requirement of 4 teammates per team; there is no maximum however your team must finish collectively as a group.  Teammates do not have to register at the same time.  Once a Team Captain is established and has registered a team name, participants can register individually under a team name.

Aid Stations:

Event will have aid stations offering water along the course.  There will be a medical aid booth on grounds located at the main pavilion.

Packet Pick-Up:

  • Available Fridays from 3 – 6PM at Community Connect, LLC.
